Jamie Foxx's Daughter, Corinne, Named Miss Golden Globe 2016

Congrats are in order for Jamie Foxx! We know he's probably one proud papa right now because his daughter, Corinne, was just named Miss Golden Globe 2016. According to Billboard, the model and actress was selected as Miss Golden Globe 2016 for the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Tuesday, November 17.

The news was revealed by HFPA President Lorenzo Soria at the HFPA's first party of the 2016 Golden Globe Awards season. This year's event was held at Ysabel West Hollywood. Foxx's daughter will be on the telecast and assist during the Golden Globe Awards. Past Mr. and Miss Golden Globe title holders include Rumer Willis, Francesca Eastwood, Laura Dern, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sam Fox.

The Golden Globes will air on Jan. 10, 2016 with Ricky Gervais as the host. The ceremony will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Traditionally, the Mr. or Miss Golden Globe winner is the child of one of the most influential persons in the film industry. The winner normally is a helping hand during the ceremony.

"We are delighted to have Corinne Foxx continue the tradition and have her as our 2016 Miss Golden Globe," Billboard reported Soria as saying. "Like her father, she leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can't wait to see what she does next."

Corinne was first noticed when her father introduced her as his date during a 2013 awards show. Corinne has been busy shooting a campaign for the accessory line Icing, and will graduate college soon. She is currently a senior at University of Southern California.

"Throughout the years I've grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor," Corinne said of her dad. "I'm honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he's been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments."

She also showed her excitement via Instagram. In the photo below, Corinne wrote, "I am so excited to finally announce that I have been chosen to be Miss Golden Globe 2016. I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity!"

Foxx also responded saying how proud he was of his daughter. He wrote on his Instagram page that he couldn't wait to see her on stage working the Golden Globes.
