'Twin Peaks Revival Cast: Bailey Chase Joins Kyle MacLachlan & 'Grimm' Season 5!

Showtime is adding a new cast member to the revival of the cult favorite Twin Peaks. Before joining Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) on his crusade, actor Bailey Chase will also be seen in Grimm Season 5, which currently airs on NBC.

As we previously mentioned,Twin Peaks followed FBI Agent Dale Cooper as he investigated the mysterious death of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). Unfortunately, the case ended with Dale Cooper possessed by the evil spirit, Bob, and his soul lost in the Black Lodge. David Lynch will be directing every episode of the modern remake, which is set to premiere sometime in 2017.

According to Deadline, the Longmire alum has landed up two recurring roles. In the Showtime drama, Lynch is keeping Chase's role tightly under wraps, possibly to keep the show shrouded in mystery. No word yet if this will be a new case for the series or if the mystery behind Laura's death continues.

On the NBC supernatural drama though, the story is a different matter as the Saving Grace will play a character named Lucien Petrovich, the leader of a Wesen revolutionary group. Grimm can currently be seen on its usual Friday nights at 9pm on NBC.

We also mentioned, another Twin Peaks fan favorite is returning to the latest installment. From the groundbreaking 1990 ABC mystery drama, The Stand actor will reprise his role as FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield. The FBI forensics specialist, Rosenfield, previously arrived in town and butted heads withSheriff Harry S. Truman. Rosenfield can also be seen in the prequel, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

Old and new faces have been cast in the upcoming Showtime drama. New cast member additions include Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper, Balthazar Getty and Amanda Seyfried.

Showtime will premiere the revival of Twin Peaks sometime in 2017.
