According to Fox 5, Collins is 21-years-old and from Macon, GA. She told the news station that she only had one day to complete the exam, and decided to do so even through her labor pains.

“If I’m not in too much pain, I’ll take it,” she said. "It took me 4-5 hours after the opening of the test to try to put the pain to the side and do it so I wouldn't have to do it later and I could enjoy my newborn."

Collins claimed that her nurse was shocked that she was trying to complete a test during labor. She passed the exam scoring a B when she took the test over again for the second time after she wasn't please by her first results.

Baby Elise was born weighing 7 lbs and 10 ounces at Coliseum Medical Center on November 12.
