Khloe Kardashian on Lamar Odom's Hospital Scare: Estranged Husband Had 4 Hours to Live

Khloe Kardashian probably had the shock of her life when doctors revealed her estranged husband Lamar Odom only had four hours to live when he was rushed to the hospital last month after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. MStars News has learned that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is finally speaking out on Odom's days in the hospital.

Kardashian revealed that Odom was in bad shape during an interview on the Today show earlier this week.

"They told me that he had four hours," Kardashian, revealed to Natalie Morales. "It's a horrible call to get. Getting to the hospital and knowing he's in a coma and having to run these tests or make medical decisions – it's terrifying."

Kardashian said that it was a lot of decisions to be made, the percentages were against Odom at that time.

"You have to make risk-and-reward decisions. Like, okay, well, there's an 80 percent chance if we do this operation, he might pass away," she said. "But also, if we don't do it, there's a 90 percent chance he'll pass away."

MStars News previously reported that Odom stayed unconscious for a few days, and was still in a scary stage near death. "They kept saying, 'He's not out of the woods. You're so optimistic. You're so positive.' They wanted to keep reminding me, 'We're nowhere in the clear.' But I was like, 'You guys told me he was going to die just a few days ago,'" Kardashian reflected on the past few weeks of her life.

Odom is currently recovering at Cedars-Sinai in L.A. and is "learning how to walk again and learning . . . cognitive therapy and speech therapy," as Kardashian told the Today anchor. "They think, like, within a year and a half to two years that, mentally, he might be fully recovered. But they don't know."

Despite being separated, Kardashian is still Odom's person listed for medical emergencies. The couple were speaking of divorce but still haven't managed to get one. Kardashian is currently dating Houston Rockets NBA star, James Harden and appears to be very supportive of him as well while she still cares for Odom.

As for her pending divorce, Kardashian said, "I was expediting the divorce prior. And I'm still separated with him, but I'm just not expediting [the papers] anymore. There was no reason for it." She said that she was his medical contact because, "He had no one else to make these decisions for him."

Kardashian's health has also had some downfalls. We previously reported that the 31-year-old contracted a staph infection from being in around Odom while he stays in the hospital. Hopefully Kardashian takes care of herself and gets better soon.
