Ranbir Kapoor has recently talked about his upcoming romantic drama film, Tamasha and according to him director Imtiaz Ali has taken reference from the love story of Radha-Krishna.

Directed by Ali, Tamasha will star Deepika Padukone with Kapoor. It will follow the story of Ved, who loses himself in the process of fulfilling the expectations from his family. Padukone, who will play the role of Tara, will come into his life to remind him of his own potential and set him free.

"Tara is an Indian woman rooted in our value system but she is very modern in her approach. Imtiaz goes back to the time of Radha-Krishna," Ranbir said.

According to NDTV Movies, Padukone has said that the story of Tara and Ved has been shot. In the plot, after keeping today's generation in time, a girl always feels that the relationship in which she embarked on with the guy has now become mechanical.

"Tamasha is about Ved, who is not doing what he wants to do. There is a lot of pressure from him, from his family to be a certain person and he starts losing himself in the process and he starts becoming somebody that he is not," Padukone said.

"He requires a Tara in his life to pull him out of that situation and make him understand the person that he really is. This is a story which is very relevant and I think people will relate to Ved and Tara."

Ali has previously directed Jab We Met and Rockstar. Both of the films talked about the desire to understand the real potential, at the same time how one can hold on to their love, while achieving their own goals in their life. Padukone also said that, Tamasha is an intense and passionate love story between her and Kapoor. But at the same time, the story has been told in a very entertaining manner.

The released song, "Matargashti" sung by Mohit Chauhan has already crossed 9 million views on YouTube and currently trending on many social media platforms. The music is given by Slumdog Millionaire music director, A.R. Rahman and is being loved by everyone.

Tamasha is slated to release on Nov. 27, 2015.
