Is Patti LaBelle taking all of the claim for her sweet potato pie sellout? In a new interview, the songstress said that her "Patti Pies" were selling before James Wright Chanel's video went viral.

In the clip below, the Today Show anchors were shocked, and excited to see LaBelle with pie. LaBelle said that James Wright Chanel was "wonderful" in his viral sensation video. The diva claimed that the "pies had been selling" before Chanel came out of the blue with his take on the pie. But she did thank "Jesus" for both her pies being a hit, and for Chanel's video.

LaBelle claimed that people were wanting to come to her home to buy pies from her. Like Walmart, she claimed that she didn't have any pies. "It's like a blessing," she admitted. "Like I said, I am so happy." LaBelle revealed that she had more plans for Walmart. "We're going to do more things with Walmart. Not just the pies. We have more things coming."

The songstress revealed her full schedule for December and said that Oprah Winfrey had a taste of her pie as well after they worked together this week. LaBelle claimed that she learned how to cook from her mother and father. She said that her parents passed on their recipes to her and admitted that her sisters couldn't cook. LaBelle said that she cooks for everyone, but will be passing on her own cooking secrets to fans.
