Ellen DeGeneres had an "always pregnant" Jessica Simpson on her show today where the singer discussed her surprise pregnancy, her first pregnancy, and the differences she has experienced with the two. Simpson and her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, already have a 1-year-old daughter, Maxwell, and were surprised about the second pregnancy. Jessica says they are "happy" but were initially "extremely shocked" when they found out. They had been focusing on their current baby "and then I was puking and lying on the couch," Jessica said on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show."

The conversation was light as always with Ellen as the host probed for any and all information about the new baby. Simpson admitted:

"This pregnancy is the complete opposite. Like, with Maxwell, I felt amazing. Like, I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted. I had a lot of energy. This time around...I'm like exhausted. Eating Tums. That's my snack of choice [...] The first pregnancy, I like, let loose and I kind of ate everything that I wanted to eat and I just really enjoyed it. This time around I think because I was doing Weight Watchers and I felt super healthy. I'm not really craving as much and I know how hard it is to get off, so I'm trying to make healthier, wiser decisions."

Ellen then tried to get Jessica to reveal the baby's gender with some gifts for her daughter Maxwell. The talk show host holds up two baby onesies, with one reading "I [heart] My Little Sister," and the other says "Brother" instead. Simpson has yet to reveal the baby's sex so she did not want to fall into this playful trap. Luckily, Ellen guessed that the baby will be a boy, so she insists the Dukes of Hazard star take the "brother" onsesie for Maxwell. Simpson accepts the gift without actually breaking the news.
