Kaley Cuoco Getting Over Ryan Sweeting Divorce by Removing Tattoo

New Year's is still over a month away, but Kaley Cuoco is already turning over a new leaf.The Big Bang Theory actress just covered up a tattoo commemorating her wedding date to tennis player Ryan Sweeting.

Cuoco posted a pic on Instagram, which shows her twisting her face in pain as a tattoo artist works away at the tattoo. She captioned the pic, "Thank you @nero_sct @studiocitytattoo for helping me right my wrongs.. Note to self- do not mark your body with any future wedding dates."

The star used the hashtags #under30mistakes and #donttakeyourselftooseriouslykids.

The pair are in the middle of a highly publicized divorce. Sweeting is reportedly asking for spousal support from the star, who filed for divorce back in September after less than two years of marriage.

Sweeting and Cuoco dated for just three months before they got engaged. They tied the knot on New Year's Eve in 2013. At the time, Cuoco said, "From day one, I just knew immediately and it's been magic. We have all the same family friends. We grew up with the same people, we just never met."

However, on Sept. 25 of this year, Cuoco filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Reports have since surfaced that Sweeting's reported addiction issues and depression had roles to play in the split. In 2006, Sweeting was arrested for a DUI and possession with intent to sell, but he was still dealing with these issues at the time he and Kaley married.

Since the breakup, Cuoco has been spending time with her beloved dogs, even adopting a new pup into the mix. In recent weeks, she's been hard at work on her show and has been spotted out at events with her costar and ex-boyfriend, Johnny Galecki.

Apparently, getting a tattoo changed and adopting a new furry friend are just what the doctor ordered to get over this divorce. Talk about a happy new year!
