'Vanderpump Rules' Stars Scheana Marie & Shay Are Over Pill & Booze Drama

Vanderpump Rules might have just premiered its fourth season on Bravo, but it isn't wasting anytime before digging right into the drama. In fact, viewers have been watched as star Scheana Marie has tried to deal with her martial troubles this past season. During a previous episode of the RHOBH spinoff, Marie confessed to her boss Lisa Vanderpump that hubby, Mike Shay, had been going through a difficult time, often mixing pills with alcohol. However, while the series paid particular focus to the issues, it seems that the worst is past the married couple.

According to Radar Online, Shay's issues with prescription pills and alcohol was something that was focused on and dealt with a year prior to this season taped. Yet, when Scheana brought it up in front of the cameras it took on a life of its own, which she did not intend.

"He was kind of in a funk and I was worried he would go back to some of his old ways," the star explained of his behavior, which was portrayed in recent episodes. "I had said something to Ariana [Madix] because she already knew what we had went through last year—then it became this kind of whole thing where that was the center focus around him and it was never my intention."

The star admits, "It was just a comment I made and now it's a thing."

Scheana also took to her Instagram page where she addressed the episode, underneath a picture of the two, writing, "Things got a little out of control this past year as you will see this season but we are working thru this together and he's doing what's best for him."

Scheana also added that because of her part on the reality show, her and Shay have had to face a lot of issues that they might not have had to deal with before, or at least not in front of millions of people.

"Having to film it has been the toughest part," she said, according to The Inquistr. "So there are a lot of issues that we've had to film that have just heightened them and made them a bigger deal because now it's a public affair and not being dealt privately at home. So the hardest part is just putting it out there."

However, despite all the drama that has played out thus far on the reality series, Scheana does admits that things between her and Shay are just great now.
