After making claims that he saw "thousands" of people cheering in Jersey City, New Jersey as the World Trade Center buildings came down on 9/11 in New York City, GOP front runner Donald Trump defended his "racist" retweet on The O'Reilly Factor. Then he apparently told NBC that his facts were true because he has the "world's greatest memory." Then, Late Night with Seth Meyers ripped him apart.

Airing on Tuesday night's episode of Late Night, Meyers took some time to take a look at Trump's line of craziness in a segment called A Closer Look.

Meyers' piece basically detailed the weekend of Trump headlines, all of which were...interesting:

1) He offended Muslim Americans for saying that he saw some cheering on 9/11 – a theory Meyers claims was "debunked by fact-checkers and law enforcement officials."

2) He retweeted a tweet of a chart that claimed blacks kill whites at a rate of 81%, which is untrue, because the real rate actually hovers around 15%.

3) In an attempt to back up his statements as of late, Trump met with NBC's Katy Tur and claimed that they're true because he has the "world's greatest memory."

"This was a 20-minute conversation," Tur said, noting that it was largely made up of her being a "broken-record" asking if he was positive he didn't confuse Jersey City with some other place where there may have been celebrations at the towers coming down. "He was adamant ... He says that he has, and I quote, 'the world's best memory,'"

While Tur said in the above link that Trump's comment claimed he has the world's "best" memory, NBC's report says world's "greatest" memory. Either way, it's a modest quote from The Donald.
