50 Cent Getting in the Boxing Ring? Flo Rida Accepts 'In Da Club' Rapper's Challenge, Says 'Let's Go!' on Instagram [PHOTO]

We all knew 50 Cent was interested in boxing. The rapper is a licensed boxing promoter with his own company called TMT. 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson III also was an amateur boxer. We didn't know Flo Rida was also interested in boxing. The Miami rapper accepted 50 Cent's TV challenge to duke it out in the ring via an Instagram screen shot.

50 Cent told MYFoxNY that the connection between boxing and hip-hop is strong. This must be the reason why he is challenging other rappers to boxing matches. When asked which rapper he would like to get in the ring with it, 50 Cent said Flo Rida. Jackson told MyFoxNY, "Flo Rida would be the toughest guy to fight because he trains that way," Jackson said. "It would be real entertaining. We need to get pay per view going right now. Let me call Flo Rida, let's see what we can do!"

Usually when a celebrity calls out another celebrity to fight it's just for attention. Well it seems like Flo Rida is ready to rumble with fellow rapper 50 Cent. Flo Rida announced on his Instagram @50Cent, "Let's Go!"

Despite 50 Cent having the edge due to his amateur boxing background it would probably be a great fight. If 50 Cent really wants to help the boxing industry, this may be the way to do it!

Boxing has been hurt over the last decade due to the rise in fame of the UFC. MMA fighting and numerous boxing scandals have put a dent in the popularity of the sport. Maybe watching two rappers duke it out in the ring would be what brings it back. It's not like it would be a cast member of the "Brady Bunch" facing Screech from "Saved by the Bell." 50 Cent was a legitimate boxer when he was younger and Flo Rida is clearly in great shape and could probably handle his own in a fight.

So will the two star rappers box each other? Probably not, but you never know. It certainly would make for quite the pay-per-view.
