Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Paid to Be Affectionate On 'The Voice' According to Source

Forget Katniss and Peeta, and Bella and Edward, because this is the onscreen couple that everyone has been talking about. While Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton just came out of their respective divorces, the pair has found each other and have been burning up viewers' TV screens on this past season of The Voice. The country crooner and the rock goddess have indeed sparked up a romance, but is it all smoke and mirrors? It might seem that way, since new reports and unnamed sources are saying that the two are getting paid for their public affection towards one another.

New reports are emerging from Radar Online that are saying that those behind the scenes of the NBC series think that the romance between Stefani and Shelton is great for ratings so they have given them bonuses because of their connection.

A source explained that the 46-year-old rocker, and her 39-year-old beau, are reportedly getting paychecks to play up their relationship for the cameras.

"Gwen is getting paid extra for all of the Blake PDA on The Voice," an insider revealed to the news site.

We previously reported that the two were spotted packing on the PDA for the audience members during a rehearsal for the live round of the show, but now it is being speculated that the two are cashing in on their public displays of affection.

"Both Blake and Gwen are being paid a bonus for their on-camera flirting and PDA," the insider explained to WetPaint.

The producers have decided to tack on the affection bonuses to what the stars are already getting for their holidays pay.

"The bonuses are added on to their holiday bonuses," an insider explained to the news site.

"Their romance is a big deal and the show is going to make sure if they turn up the steam then they get rewarded for it," a source further explained according to WetPaint.
