In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Disney starlet Selena Gomez revealed details of her life after her high profile breakup with Justin Bieber.

While Bieber has already moved on to a relationship with British teen model Ella Paige Roberts-Clarke, Gomez has remained single and silent about the break-up. The couple was together for two years before their split in January. Gomez remaining mum for so long likely stems the unease she felt seeing details of her's and Bieber's relationship constantly splashed across tabloids.

"It was (open to scrutiny), but that's not a factor for me because unfortunately you can't control that. To me, love is normal," she said "Of course, you see Jay (Jay-Z) and Beyonce, and you're like, 'Oh, my gosh, they're perfect for each other,' but at the end of the day their love is just like everybody else's love. They have problems, I'm sure, and they solve them, like anybody else... (Normalcy) was super important to both of us. Which was great... That's how it should be."

Male Selenators take note. Selena added that in spite of her good looks and fame, she's faced a shortage of suitors.

"I don't get asked out a lot," the Spring Breakers star said. "It's not like I've wanted to go out and look for someone. I'm not really good at that."

She added that she's rarely dressed in a way that would attract the attention of the opposite sex.

"When I actually look presentable, I'm at an awards show," Gomez said. "I don't give a damn what I look like; I really don't."

Even when she's dressed to the nines, Gomez thinks she's not in an attractive state.

"Of course, when I'm on red carpets, I'm nervous, sweaty, and weird," the actress said

However, in spite of all this, Gomez does think love will come her way.

"I believe in love -- yes, I'm one of those girls," she said.

"I went out with Katy Perry last night," Gomez added. "She's so fun and awesome, but it's cool to see someone older believe in love too. She is all about it, and that's how I will always be. I believe in stories like 'Oh, I met him in Starbucks.'"
