Back by popular demand, Fox has released an all-new teaser for the upcoming revival of The X-Files. Taking the limelight from agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) flies solo and dominates in the "Show & Not Tell" promo.

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the two leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner once again for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

Check out out 5 thoughts on the Show & Not Tell teaser footage here:

5) Talk To Us Scully!

In the beginning of the trailer, the camera is pointed at The Fall actress, who's wearing a fancy suit by the way. Anderson states, "As you know, The X-Files is shrouded in mystery. And I can't really tell you much about anything...really. But I think I can show you this..." With the meta-humor, Scully is definitely having fun with the fans, toying with them. Blink and you'll miss the next series of popping images.

4) Why the long face Skinner?

As we previously mentioned, Mitch Pileggi, the sexiest man alive, is back as Walter Skinner. Back when the show first aired, Pileggi made women swoon with that bald look of his. And now he has a beard; let's start with the memes already. But seriously, why the sad face? What does Skinner know that he's not telling Mulder and Scully. Dare I say it, does Skinner return only to die?

3) Is That What I Think It Is?

Mulder started The X-Files because he was trying to prove the existence of extraterrestrials. How Mulder finally found the evidence that he's been looking for? With the blinding lights and lens flare all over the place, it's hard to tell if that's a man, a woman, or an alien? Let's take it one step further, is that Samantha, Mulder's sister, on that table?

2) William Calling!

How many Williams do you know on the show? Okay, there was sci-fi author William Gibson (Neuromancer) who wrote two classic X-Files episodes. Named after the novelist who coined "cyberspace," Gibson is also the big bad in the The X-Files Season 11 comic books. No, it can't be him. Wait a sec, could it be William Scully on the phone? Is William Scully, the son of Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, back to find his parents? Will the orphan want to know why his parents abandoned him?

1) Very Cool Indeed!

After showcasing the images, Scully asks with a smile, "Cool huh?" I think we all know that answer to that question!

The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).

Readers, are you excited for the return of The X-Files?
