Chelsea Handler, Taylor Swift Virgin Joke: Comedian Unveils Theory Behind Songstress' Breakups, Drama with Fey & Poehler

With all the buzz about Taylor Swift versus "mean girls" Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, it's only natural that comedian Chelsea Handler put in her two cents as well. When asked about the the drama surrounding T-Swift, the alleged breakup queen, on Bravo's March 5 episode of Watch What Happens Live show, Handler unveiled her theory behind the songstress' multiple failed relationships: "she's a virgin."

Handler told host Andy Cohen, "My theory about Taylor Swift is that she's a virgin, that everyone breaks up with her because they date her for two weeks and she's like, 'I'm not gonna do it.' And they're like, 'Oh, well, forget it. Then I don't want to date you,'" Handler explained. "Every guy thinks they're going to devirginize her, and they're not. She's never going to get devirginized, ever, ever, ever, ever."

All the recent drama surrounding Taylor's relationships sparked after Golden Globes co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joked about the singer's love life at the awards ceremony back in January. Fey singled out Swift and quipped "You stay away from Michael J. Fox's son!" While most of America responded with laughs, Swift responded unfavorably, noted Huffington Post.

Taylor apparently took great offense to the joke made about her dating history, and in the April issue of Vanity Fair, 23-year-old Swift spoke out. She recited a quote Katie Couric once shared with her when asked how she deals with "mean girls" in Hollywood (Fey & Poehler): "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women," Swift said.

Fey & Poehler "gently mocked" the singer's surprisingly serious reaction to their joke and in an ET interview Fey confessed, "I did not see that one coming. It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke." 

Handler's opinion on Swift's unexpected response was,"I think that was a bold statement, but I'm not on anyone's side because I just don't care enough," the 38-year-old Chelsea Lately host said. "I like that she's being that vociferous about something that she thinks they were out to get her. They were clearly making a joke just about her demeanor, which is embarrassing. I mean, she's just dated so many men."

Swift also continued defending herself when she told Vanity Fair that she's only dated two people since 2010, including Conor Kennedy & One Directioner Harry Styles. While she may have been wrongly linked to some, she definitely dated a number of big stars, Us states, including Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner over the years.

"For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated -- a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way --that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist," Swift expressed in the interview.

Taylor will most likely not be happy to know that another comedian is poking fun at her love life, but maybe she'll use her anger as inspiration for a hot new single.

We should have known that Chelsea Handler would be "trouble" when she walked in to Watch What Happens Live.
