Actor Mack Wilds of VH1's soon to be released movie The Breaks will DJ a set at the official kick off of The Breaks Lounge during Miami Art Week. The event is one of many art and entertainment happenings at Miami's festival, Art Basel, according to a press release circulated to MStars News.

The actor and singers' name rings bells, since he has starred in hit television series, The Wire and 90210 and was featured in singer Adele's video for "Hello." Wild is currently staring in the VH1 original movie and will be promoting it at the art world's uber popular meet up, for premiere galleries and their patrons.

According to Deadline, the film is based on the nonfiction book written by Don Charnas, The Big Payback: The History Of the Business Of Hip-Hop. The Breaks chronicles the lives of three friends who invade the music industry during the 90's. Seith Mann, who wrote on The Wire, Homeland and The Walking Dead also wrote, directed and executive produced The Breaks with Maggie Malina and Charnas.

The film is slated to air on Jan. 4, 2016 at 9P.M. on VH1.

Visitors can experience the The Breaks Lounge from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at Scope on One Ocean Drive on Dec 1. Rapper Q-Tip has created a playlist for the crowd to enjoy and the guests are encouraged to make a GIF in the #PHHHOTO booth and will be able to leave with a custom beat made by Monster DNA.

By 7:30 p.m., the guests will move into the atrium for a live, one-hour performance by Mack Wild. Afterwards, the official party begins until midnight.

There will be plenty of fashion, media and entertainment events happening over a period of three days. Design houses Fendi and Guess will be hosting an event as well as magazines, Du Jour, Bello and Flaunt. Billboard reported a list of some of the non commissioned artists whom are showing and they include David Choong Lee, D*Face, Wolfbat, Derrick Adams, HOXXOH, Doze Green, Dustin Yellin and others.

This is an annual festival that is on everyone's calendar. Last year Beyonce, Jay Z, Swizz Beatz, Mary J. Blige and other celebrities trekked to the city of Miami just for the love of art.

This year, Alicia Keys will be performing!
