Conscious uncoupling looks good on Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin. The two stars just debuted a song they worked on together from Coldplay's upcoming album A Head Full of Dreams. Talk about friendly exes!

Paltrow and Martin, who famously announced their split in March 2014, both lend vocals to the track, "Everglow," which premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show.

On the show, Martin told Lowe that the name for the song came from an experience with a surfer. Everglow is a common word in the surf culture, he explained. He also described the song's deep meaning, saying:

Then the song came completely out. To me, it's about - whether it's a loved one or a situation or a friend or a relationship that's finished or someone's passed away - I was really thinking about, after you've been through the sadness of something, you also get this everglow. That's what it's about.

He also told Rolling Stone that the track is "about a relationship's spark." Later in the interview, he says Paltrow's involvement "was just a friendly kind of thing." Talk about life imitating art!

The Coldplay frontman and Paltrow were married for ten years before their separation and eventual divorce in April of this year. They have two children.

At the time of the breakup, Paltrow called their split a "conscious uncoupling," which brought on more than a few snickers from people on the Internet.

Although the split was much publicized, it seems like the Oscar winner and the Grammy-winning crooner have remained amicable and put the past behind them.

Coldplay's latest album, rumored to be its last, is said to feature loads of other famous vocals, including Beyonce, Blue Ivy Carter, Tove Lo, Apple and Moses Martin (Martin and Paltrow's children), Noel Gallagher and a sample of President Obama's turn at "Amazing Grace." Yes, really.

A Head Full of Dreams drops on December 4. Until then, check out the video for "Adventure of a Lifetime."
