Love & Hip Hop New York stars, Yandy and Mendeecees Harris gained support from singer K. Michelle after Mendeecees was sentenced to eight years in federal prison for drug distribution and other related charges.

Hello Beautiful reports the R&B crooner took to Instagram to express encouragement to the reality stars. She posted, "Where do I start? It's late and I'm just leaving the studio but honestly this is heavy on my heart. @yandysmith and @mendeecees I respect u both dearly. Yandy, your dedication and love for your husband is not only motivational to me but inspiring. I've been in several relationships but never truly valued love. My motto is hurt them, before they hurt me. After being apart of your wedding and just witnessing the loyalty and determination to not give up on love and make your family work it opened my eyes."

The couple wed earlier this year in a ceremony made for television on VH1 with Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burress, Mob Wives' Renee Graziano, LHHLA's Ray J and others present, says People. At the time, felon Harris was out of bail on $200,000 bail, posted in January 2013 by then fiance, Yandy Smith.

Mstars News reported that the father of four was sentenced earlier this week and has agreed to forfeit his reality show earnings and paid appearances to make good on a fine to the government. So far, he has paid $170,000 for his role in the crimes. Season six of LHHNY will premiere on Dec. 14 and will air his last days a a free man with his family and friends before heading off to prison.

Smith thanked fans on her social media page for their support. Her post read, "Thank you for your continued support. You have no idea how much your love and encouragement means. We finally have closure and are prepared and ready for all the future holds. God and love always prevails. Thank you God for family and love."

The Democrat and Chronicle reported that at sentencing, Harris apologized to the City of Rochester and told U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr., "Ever since (having children), I've been trying to right my wrongs." Will his wife stand by her man? Let us know your thoughts!
