Robert Pattinson vs. Zac Efron New Movie: Jamie Vardy Biopic, Andrew Garfield Casting Beef?

Renowned British screenwriter Adrian Butchart hopes to produce a new biopic on the life and career of English football (soccer) superstar, Jamie Vardy. And he wants Robert Pattinson (or perhaps even Zac Efron or Andrew Garfield) to play the part of the extraordinary 28-year-old athlete.

Butchart recently told The Sun:

"It's the kind of story that if we made it up, people wouldn't believe it. His achievements are incredible and to break the Premier League record with such a sublime goal against the biggest club in football pushed him to the top of our agenda. It's amazing to think he was playing non-league football and making medical splints for a living until so recently before breaking the record. It is the kind of role actors dream of."

On Saturday (November 28), Vardy broke records by scoring in his 11th consecutive Premier League game against Manchester United while playing for Leicester City. Just a few short years ago, Vardy was playing for a non-league team in Fleetwood Town while working part-time in a factory.

And if a movie should be made about Vardy's awesome achievements, Butchart is the man to do it. The award-winning producer helped write a popular two-part film commonly described as "The Rockey of Soccer." The installments are entitled "Goal! The Dream Begins" and "Goal! 2: Living The Dream..."

Details surrounding such casting still remain unconfirmed, but itv.com reports that three Hollywood heartthrobs are currently in the running.
