Former Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Tackle Devon Still has announced that his daughter, Leah, is cancer free. On the day before Thanksgiving, Still posted a picture that read "thank you," on his Instagram account, happily informing everybody that Leah's latest follow-up medical tests showed "no evidence" of cancer.

According to Yahoo Sports!, Leah Still was diagnosed with stage-four neuroblastoma in June 2014. Still, who was a practice player for the Bengals at the time, left the team to be with his daughter as she began her treatment. Cincinnati, in an act of good faith, kept Still on its practice squad to make sure he would still receive health insurance for his daughter (he wound up playing 12 regular-season games).

Over the last year and a half, Still has kept the public informed on Leah through his Twitter and Instagram accounts, showing his brave daughters fight on the good days, and the bad. This summer, ESPN honored Leah with its Jimmy V perseverance award. And while Leah could not be there to receive the award, Still honored her in an emotional speech:

"When my daughter was first diagnosed with cancer, I felt like I was in a nightmare," Still began. "I remember the first week in the hospital, I was sneaking out of the room and I would go down to the chapel and I would just cry.

"I would just ask God, why would he give my daughter this fight," continued Still. "And I would beg him to give me this fight with death, rather than my daughter."

When Still found out his daughter's cancer had spread throughout her body, he said they had two options: lose faith, or fight hard and give his daughter's terrible misfortune a purpose. They chose the latter.

According to ESPN, she underwent tests at the end of July that confirmed her cancer was in remission. It's been a moment the Still's have been waiting for for a long time, and one they were definitely ready for.
