Christmas came a little early for a family in Georgia. 2 Chainz, who should probably be nominated for hip-hop philanthropist of the year, and his T.R.U. Foundation have given one disabled veteran in Palmetto, Dierdre Plater, and early Chritmas gift of furniture and funds to pay rent in her home for an entire year, according to a report by Complex.   Plater is a hardworking single mom. She tells CBS 46, "It's hard to keep gas in the car, food in the house, and do everything myself being a single parent. I am on a fixed income."

Before you begin to judge and tell her to get a job, Complex reports she has been looking for a job for over a year now and recently had to undergo surgery.

Overwhelmed with joy she told the news channel, "I love to see stuff like this happen for other people, but I never thought it would happen to me."

Just how did 2 Chainz find out about the family in need?

CNN reports that Plater and her family received a Thanksgiving meal from the sister of her son's mentor and during her visit she noticed the family lacked furniture. She then goes on to say, "I guess that sparked my son's mentor Mark Barnes to do something special for us and when he got the call from 2 Chainz about helping a family it all fell into place."

How did 2 Chainz fund this amazing gesture?

 Creativity of the culture!

According to Complex, he recently released the Dabbing Santa sweater fundraiser and some of the proceeds went to give the Plater family a gift they will never forget.

Even though this is a grand gesture, there are other ways that you can give back to your community. Everyone receives a helping hand at one point in their life and it is the right thing to do to give back. Try donating some of your old clothes or shoes before throwing them away, assisting in a homeless shelter for day and before throwing away your leftovers give them to someone who does not have anything left to eat.

What will you do this holiday season to give back?
