The Americans Season 4 Spoilers: Will Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys See Annet Mahendru "Return?"

Season 3 of The Americans continues earning critical praise for FX. With Season 4 of The Americans already underway, will Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) somehow see Nina Krilova (Annet Mahendru) "return to the states?"

In our finale recap, Philip had to kill and frame one of Martha's co-workers to make the FBI look away from her. After getting the fake defector arrested, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) was given the go-ahead to continue his investigation against Oleg (Costa Ronin), but he is nowhere closer to saving Nina. Elizabeth had a chance to say goodbye to her dying mother.

Before the end credits, Philip was unable to tell his wife that he wanted to leave the spy business. Elizabeth was filled with hatred towards President Reagan as he declared the Soviet Union an "evil empire." Confused and desperate for someone's help, the teary-eyed Paige called Pastor Tim and confessed her parents aren't Americans; they're Russians.

In an interview with IGN, The X-Files Revival actress reveals if Nina will return to the states, " It's so cute that everyone thinks she's coming back to America. Like, what is she going to do when she comes back?"

The Following actress continues, "[Laughs] You know? Or like work at the Rezidentura and see Stan here and there? I don't know. But yeah, that's a great fantasy, and who knows? Maybe that might happen, because Stan and Oleg have been working to get her out. Oleg did a huge thing; he basically gave away one of their people. You know, that was huge! Of course, we'll see if that was enough, if the FBI will do anything for Nina. But does the FBI really care for Nina?"

As we mentioned before, The Americans has gained a nomination from the 2016 Writers Guild of America.
