Eminem Wins: Drake's Expensive Air Jordan 4 Carhartt Sneakers Support, New Album 2016 HOAX?

Apparently, Detroit emcee Eminem's probably too busy promoting other business ventures to actually start working on a new solo album for 2016:

The infamous "Rap God" auctioned off ten pairs of these exclusive (and extremely expensive) Air Jordan IV sneakers back in November. Shady's official website offered this press statement:

Eminem has teamed with the Jordan Brand and Carhartt to create an epic shoe celebrating his infamous Shady Records label. The Detroit based rapper announced today that he will auction off 10 pairs of the "friends and family" exclusive to benefit the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

The Air Jordan IV x Shady x Carhartt shoe marks the third collaboration between world-renowned rapper and the Jordan Brand. The inclusion of classic workwear brand Carhartt, and their recognizable rough and rugged material, gives this collaboration an aggressive look and feel that compliments Eminem's signature style.

The famous Carhartt canvas material makes up the upper of the iconic Air Jordan IV, which also features graphics from Eminem and Shady Records. The ShadyXV logo, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the label, appears below the famous Jumpman. Eminem's trademark hockey mask and backwards "E" logo appear on the heel of the shoe.

The Marshall Mathers Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to providing assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk youth primarily in Detroit, Michigan and it's surrounding communities.

According to mlive.com:

The eBay auction brought in a total of $227,552 at the auction's conclusion. The most expensive pair, a size 9, was sold at $30,100. The least expensive pair, a size 7, sold for $18,750.

And did fellow hip-hop superstar Drake actually make a hefty purchase?

The YMCMB rapper attended a Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors basketball game in Toronto on Saturday (December 5) - and he was rocking these pricey kicks courtside:

Now, the average re-sale value online stands at approximately $23,000 (via SoleCollector.com).

Since Drizzy seems to support Slim Shady's charitable promotions, perhaps it IS time for an epic collaboration together?
