'Bones' S11E09 "The Cowboy in the Contest" David Boreanaz/Emily Deschanel Booth/Brennan Recap

Season 11 of Bones continues its final season on Fox. In tonight's Episode 9, as the Jeffersonian take on a new case, are Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) ready to face The Cowboy in the Contest?

With Camille (Tamara Taylor) in bed with her new lover, Brennan and Booth are getting ready to schedule their kid's school days. Brennan gets mad when he starts looking at buying a motorcycle. While Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) looks over the corpse, he discovers horse hair on the victim. Angela (Michaela Conlin) realizes that the victim was an accountant, who liked to play dress up as a cowboy.

As Aubrey (John Boyd) interrogates a friend of Stanley, he learns a warrant is needed to look into the financial date. Angela looks into the Frontier Games, the competition involves a lot of money. Aubrey and Booth are interested in going undercover and dressing up as cowboys. Brennan though is stuck at the lab. 

Back at the lab, Brennan and Angela wonder if Booth is lacking excitement and fun.  At the Frontier Games, Booth shows up but is a bit jumpy when he hears a gunshot. Angela and Hodgins end up babysitting, as a way to practice.

Booth is surprised to see Brennan dressed up as she walks into a saloon. As the two meet their competitors, Camille spots a knick on the body. At the shooting range, Booth isn't able to hit the target, but Brennan blasts the bulls-eye each time. Angela and Hodgins start having a conversation about having children of their own, he gets too nervous. 

Though they have new leads, Brennan thinks Booth is hiding something. The pair find the murder site, a bullet hole with human tissue. Booth is upset that his wife is trying to make him jealous. They suddenly realizing someone in the games is following them. 

Looking over the financial data, Aubrey and Camille think Stanley was trying to make his own Frontier Games. While Angela and Hodgins return to work with their faces painted, Camille isn't ready to take a serious step with Sebastian. Brennan argues she can beat her husband in the competition. 

Now that Aubrey has the murder weapon, Booth and Brennan have no leads to a suspect. Hedging and Angela uncover deleted documents from Stanley's computer. While Aubrey follows the money trail, Brennan and Booth compete in the shooting range. On the dance floor, Booth gets punched out and stars a brawl in the saloon. 

Aubrey arrives during the fight to make an arrest. Though Aubrey discovered an embezzling scheme, he has no killer. Brennan thinks the victim was hit by a horse and learns Stanley was having an affair. The woman he cheated with killed him. 

Hpdgins tells Angela that he's not ready for children. Camille tries to start over with Sebastian. Back at home, Booth receives a gift from Brennan, but he doesn't want it.
