Angela Simmons has completed yet another masterpiece. This time she has executive produced a new show, Growing up Hip Hop on WeTv. December 10th was the premiere of the new docu-series that depicts what life is like growing up in an actual music empire. There were many celebrity guest appearances at this star-studded event including Raven Symone, Lil Kim, and Taye Diggs just to name a few!

Angela Simmons has created a long-standing reputation as an entrepreneur and business woman independent of help from her dad, Russell Simmons. Now that she has mastered this lifestyle of creating her own shine, she has decided to let the world take a walk in her shoes. In her latest project, Growing up Hip Hop, Angela reveals what it's like to be the child of a musical legend.

To help illustrate the story, Angela recruited some fellow Princesses and Princes of hip hop: Romeo Miller (son of Master P), Damon "Boogie" Dash (son of Dame Dash), Kristinia DeBarge (daughter of James DeBarge) TJ Mizell (son of Jam Master Jay) and Egypt Criss (daughter of "Pepa"). Each of these young adults expose the challenges/benefits of growing up in the legacy of their parents.

The premiere event brought in big name celebrities who supported and even celebrated their birthday.

Hip Hop legend, Lil Kim made a statement on the Growing up Hip Hop Red Carpet, "dressed in all black like the Omen." Well, there was a pop of red.

Raven Symone, who attended on her 30th birthday and was greeted with a surprise cake backstage.

Award-winning actor Taye Diggs showed his support by attending the premiere as well.

Growing Up Hip Hop will air on WeTv January 07 at 10pm EST. Check out the official trailer HERE!
