WWE fans have been sorely missing Daniel Bryan ever since he went down with another injury earlier this year that has again kept him out of action for several months. In a new interview, Bryan updates the fans on his health and offers some indications of when he will return to in-ring action.

Bryan (real name Bryan Danielson) spoke to Yahoo! during an event in Singapore and the very first question he fielded was about his health, which is clearly at the forefront of fans' minds.

"Well, the doctors have yet to clear me," he said. "I've passed every test, but the doctors haven't cleared me yet."

This tracks with what Bryan has said in other interviews, and speculation has run rampant about why doctors won't clear him to compete. Some fans think it has to do with worries about concussions. Others think it has to do with risk of re-aggravating his previous injuries. And still others, the more conspiracy-minded of the fans, think WWE doesn't want to bring him back and risk derailing Roman Reigns' push to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Bryan then went into further detail about two injuries he sustained back in 2007 and how they still affect him.

"I detached my retina in my right eye in 2007. My vision in my right eye is still a bit blurry," he said. "I'm a decent kickboxer, but I will never be great, because I can't see the punches coming from the right that fast. However, neurologists say that I have excellent reaction time. I can get my eardrum fixed just liked that, but I will have to take a lot of time off to let it heal."

So it's unclear when exactly, if at all, Bryan will return to a WWE ring, though he did say later in the interview that he would love to wrestle Japanese superstar, Shinsuke Nakamura, in WWE one day.
