WWE fan favorite, Daniel Bryan, is still out of action with an injury, but he remains active in his other interests. During an interview conducted at environmental event in Singapore, Bryan commented on the state of the WWE locker room and his thoughts on pushing young wrestlers to the top of the card.

The more hardcore wrestling fans commonly gripe that WWE does not cultivate its talent anymore and instead relies on superstars from the glory days to come in as a quick boost to ratings. In the course of this interview, Yahoo! asked Bryan what he thinks about the wrestlers today competing with veterans and older talent for spots on the card. Bryan, as you'd expect, answered honestly and insightfully.

"Some wrestlers have long careers and wrestle long into their 40s. Sometimes young wrestlers get left off cards like WrestleMania because of old guys coming back," he said. "In my opinion, if they had brought back guys like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage back when The Rock and Stone Cold were starting out, The Rock would have never become The Rock, and Stone Cold would have never become Stone Cold."

"At WrestleMania, people still want to see The Undertaker," he continued. "This is kind of a balancing act. Although we are bringing back part-time wrestlers like Brock Lesnar and older wrestlers, I would like to see more young guys in higher positions in the card."

Bryan is right on the money when he talks about the balancing act. It's fine, and even smart, for WWE to bring in older wrestlers who fans know and love and look upon findly with nostalgia. The trouble is when WWE becomes too reliant on those veterans at the expense of their everyday wrestlers who put in the full-time work.
