Former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder, Jason Heyward, has reportedly agreed to terms with the Chicago Cubs. According to ESPN, it's an 8-year deal worth $184 million. The Cardinals are believed to have offered Heyward $200 million, meaning he took less money to move to Chicago. Which has caused quite the stir in St. Louis and fans are sharing their reactions on Twitter.

The Cubs-Cardinals rivalry is one of the most heated rivalries in all of sports. To put it into perspective, it's not too dissimilar to one Luke Skywalker-Darth Vader relationship (before Vader admitted to being Luke's father and all). It's a classic case of good vs. evil, with both teams adamant that the other is just the worst thing to ever happen to the planet.

However, it wasn't just the Heyward move that fans are jazzed about. Earlier in free-agency, the Cubs swiped pitcher John Lackey from St. Louis. The deal was reported to be a 2-year move worth $32 million. With Lackey and Heyward both moving from the Cardinals north to the Cubs, it marked the first time in Cardinals history that two free-agents moved to the Cubs in the offseason. St. Louis fans were pretty torn up about it. Naturally, they took to Twitter. Here's a look at some of the, well, most passionate tweets.

Some pointed comments, for sure. It's unfortunate at the way Heyward was targeted by fans. By all accounts, he appears to have made a baseball decision based solely on who he thinks will give him a better shot at winning a World Series--which is something of a rarity in today's game. And, based on their off-season acquisitions, it's hard not to agree with Heyward. However, it wasn't all doom and gloom on St. Louis' end. A few fans did actually wish him well on his new journey, and it's worth pointing out. Well, at least one.
