Amyra Dastur and Sonu Sood are among two new actors from Bollywood to join an international project. The two celebrated actors are going to work with world acclaimed Rush Hour star Jackie Chan in his upcoming action thriller film, Kung Fu Yoga.

It was earlier reported by Times of India that Bollywood star Ileana D'Cruz, who received acclaim from the media for her role in Barfi, was the first choice to star in Kung Fu Yoga, but due to some creative differences between she and director Stanley Tong, the actress dropped out of the project and Dastur grabbed the opportunity.

The 22-year-old Dastur, who made her Bollywood debut with Issaq, has been shooting in Beijing for the past two weeks for Chan's new film. According to Mumbai Mirror, the Mr. X actress is going to play a local Indian girl with dark brown hair and has several action sequences in film for which the actress has underwent a four-day training in Kung Fu.

"We did gymnastics, cardio and cartwheels for at least eight hours on the first day since they wanted to check my stamina after which I trained for four hours daily," Dastur said.

The actress, who once did modeling for Dove and Micromax, admitted that she had to extremely careful when the team was shooting the stunts.

"My training as a dancer and a brief stint in kickboxing are coming in handy now," Dastur further added.

Kung Fu Yoga follows a story of a treasure hunt that involves Chan, Sood, Aarif Rahman, Zhang Yixing and Dastur. The actress also revealed that in mid-December she will be in Beijing to shoot with Chan, who will be playing the role of an archaeologist.

"I just hope I don't break any bones while doing the action sequences with him."

Kung Fu Yoga is scheduled for release in 2016.
