Will Smith: actor, rapper, producer ... politician? It's being reported that the Concussion star recently sat down with CBS Sunday Morning and explained that, because of all the "crazy kinds of stuff" being said on the news as of late in regards to politics, he feels he has more to offer than just film and music. Which could stand as an answer for why he isn't in the Independence Day: Resurgence trailer?

Okay, no, it's not. Anyway, moving on...

The actor recently admitted to Sunday Morning, "If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they've been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they're going to force me into the political arena."

The actor's comments largely speak to Republican candidate Donald Trump and his recent proposal of banning all Muslim immigrants from entering the United States, as well as much of the discussion surrounding the Syrian refugee crisis.

"I mean, I gotta be the President. Come on! What else would I run for?"

Smith's newest film tells the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, a man who discovers the true aftermath of repeated concussions in the game of football, and the brain damage that comes from it, per IMDB.

As mentioned about, Smith will not appear in the sequel for the 1996 film Independence Day, aptly titled Independence Day: Resurgence. Who does appear in the film, however, are several other members from the first film, including Jeff Goldblum, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox and a more bearded Bill Pullman.

And Randy Quaid- well, he's been busy.

So, folks, is anyone hoping that Will Smith actually does run for President? We've already got Donald Trump for 2016 and a possible run from Kanye West in 2020, so perhaps a run from the star of Fresh Prince of Bel Air isn't too hard to believe.
