For everyday people, controversy is not typically made when a couple has a not-so-often seen age gap. But when you're Tyga and Kylie Jenner, Jay-Z and Beyonce, or Wilmer Valderrama and Demi Lovato, well, people tend to notice. Regardless, they're not letting people's criticisms about their age affect their relationship -- probably because age really is just a number, as they say.

It seems as though these couples have the last laugh anyway, proving that their relationships seem to last longer than most celebrities with "small" age gaps. Take a look at some of the Hollywood ladies that prefer older men in the list below!

1. Tyga, 25, and Kylie Jenner, 18 (7 years)

The rapper and youngest of the Jenners are always under the public eye, which was probably the reason why they never confirmed their relationship until Kylie Jenner turned 18 earlier this year.

2. Adam Brody, 36, and Leighton Meester, 29 (7 years)

The former The O.C. and Gossip Girl stars first met on the set of the 2011 movie, The Oranges. After dating for a couple of years, Meester and Brody got hitched in a secret ceremony in January 2014. In August this year, Leighton gave birth to her first child and daughter with Adam, named Arlo Day Brody.

3. Wilmer Valderrama, 35, and Demi Lovato, 23 (8 years)

Valderrama and Lovato started dating when the "Confident" singer turned 18 back in 2010 and even stayed together while Demi was in rehab the same year. Now that the two have been together for more than five years, and many are speculating that a marriage is on the way.

4. Ian Somerhalder, 37, and Nikki Reed, 27 (10 years)

Somerhalder tied the knot with Twilight star Nikki Reed in April just this year. His relationship with the actress gained a lot of controversy since Reed was initially friends with the actor's ex-girlfriend and Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev, 26, up until the new couple started dating in July 2014.

5. Brad Pitt, 51, and Angelina Jolie, 40 (12 years)

Jolie had a controversial relationship with Pitt in the beginning, too. The two met on the set of their film, Mr. & Mrs. Smith back in 2005, when Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

The two had several children for many years until they tied the knot on Aug. 23, 2014. Jolie was previously married to Billy Bob Thornton, an actor 20 years her senior.

6. Ryan Reynolds, 39, and Blake Lively, 28 (11 years)

Reynolds and Lively first met on the set of the 2011 film, The Green Lantern. They eventually dated and got married on September 2012. The two share a daughter together, James Reynolds.

7. Jay Z, 46, and Beyonce, 34 (12 years)

Jay Z and Beyonce first met when the latter was still part of Destiny's Child. They started dating when Beyonce was 19 and later got hitched in April 2008. The power couple have been together since, and have daughter Blue Ivy together.
