Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence took a recent jab at Mean Girls, as well as notorious party girl, Lindsay Lohan. While appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 25-year old Joy actress hurled the insult as she discussed getting ill on that set.

"I'm a puker. I'm a big-time puker. I think I have, like, nervous...I think that I don't stop working, because I'm a show pony. I don't have a choice. So, I just keep going, I think, until eventually my body's just like, 'If we don't make her barf or pass out, she won't stop,'" she said before adding "I get, like, Lindsay Lohan-grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I'm always in bed early, but I'm still tired."

The Hunger Games star has been known for her bluntness and sense of humor but apparently Lilo's younger sister, Aliana Lohan, failed to get the joke and quickly came to her sibling's defense by tweeting: "I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan."

Matriarch Dina Lohan also tweeted: "We love Jennifer Lawrence, we have always been fans of hers." She further added: "It was all unfortunate that she used Lindsay as a reference of not showing up to set, and that whole bit. It was disappointing that she didn't have her peers' back. You shouldn't trash anyone, it was just surprising. My family sticks together."

Meanwhile, Lilo herself responded in a surprisingly classy way by tweeting a quote from poet Maya Angelou. "Thank you sister... Maybe who you're referring to should learn to support others like #mayaangelou. You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I'll rise."

Some have speculated that J-Law's supposed cheap shot was in response to a previous comment made by the Herbie Fully Loaded star claiming that Lawrence sleeps around for roles. Lohan also took Lawrence to task for her Meryl Streep joke at the Golden Globes when she accepted her award for Silver Linings Playbook.

Although Lawrence claimed her comment, "I beat Meryl Streep," was based on Bette Midler's quote from The First Wives Club.

Of course others claim Lohan has made herself an easy target over the years. To remedy that the 29-year old is staying clean. She's also mounting a comeback of sorts by posing for a photoshoot in Greece and performing with Duran Duran. In addition, she announced she may even run against Kanye West for President in 2020, proving she hasn't lost her sense a humor either.
