Prayers are being answered for the former Los Angeles Laker star, Lamar Odom. Rumor has it that he is taking baby steps towards recovery and may be discharged to a rehabilitation facility says TMZ. Odom has been hosipitalized in Las Vegas and now Cedar Sinai medical center since Oct. 13, after overdosing on cocaine at a Las Vegas brothel and was said to have had loss some brain and mobility function.

Now, the estranged husband of Keeping Up With Kardashians' star, Khloe Kardashian, is making some progress. According to a source, the basketball star shocked doctors when he took "three steps," since, a source revealed, "he hadn't been able to move without a walker." They continued, "Thursday Lamar ditched the walker and took three steps, shocking the docs. Lamar has had limited range of motion in his hands, but during a recent visit from Khloe he was able to reach above his head to put his hood on ... a BIG step. And that's not all ... his brain function is slowly improving. He was able to recognize a hospital staff member, which is significant considering at one point he couldn't even recognize family."

In what has been described as defying "the odds" and "a miracle," the NBA pro has had support from the Kardashian-Jenner clan, especially his estranged wife, who has been visiting him regularly. "It's not anything sexual or intimate," says Kardashian about their strained relationship. She added, "I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it's the same, except I'm here supporting him fully," InTouch Weekly reports.

The KUWTK star takes her vows seriously, maybe even abandoning the idea of a divorce until the man she calls, "Lam" is fully recovered.
