Lil Scrappy considers Kevin Gates the "black" Eminem - and that's a good thing!

"When I look at an artist like Kevin Gates, I look at black Eminem," the "Head Bussa" emcee said in a recent interview with DJ Smallz Eyes. "It's like do what you wanna do. Talk how you wanna talk. Rap what you wanna rap about. F*ck everybody else. That's cool."

Do MstarsNews readers agree?

According to 31-year-old Scrappy, the Stranger Than Fiction superstar helped change and exband the hip-hop industry... just like Slim Shady did back in the 1990s:

"For a minute, that lane wasn't open because everybody's scared of a label telling them, 'Oh, we can't do that,'" the Atlanta native explains. "Or people blackballing you because you're doing what you wanna do" (via Design & Trend).

Meanwhile, the infamous Detroit rapper remains mum on Instagram, insinuating that he's not currently working on a new album for 2016. But who really knows, right?

@anditbecameart: "@eminem pls drop a new album to silence all these basics."

@VShady17: "I have more chances to see Eminem posting about new music in my dreams than in reality."

@millkshady: "all i want for christmas is the new album of @eminem."

@BigDaddyBenji: "listening to Eminem's new music makes me so sad, what happened to my idol. :("

@Dandrehunt: "I think eminem should make a new album talking about how life is in 2015 right now."

Gates released a fresh mixtape entitled Murder for Hire back in May. Should he surprise fans and try teaming-up with Em in the studio?
