WGN America has set the January 2016 premiere date for their upcoming new drama, Outsiders. Check out the check art and latest trailer starring the ensemble cast, David Morse (Treme), Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy), and Kyle Gallner (Veronica Mars).

As we previously mentioned, the Outsiders takes place high in the vast Appalachian Mountains. The wild and criminal Farrell Clan is pitted against the outside world, which is even more corrupt then they are. The Farrell Clan have spent 200 years surviving on Shay Mountain. The Clan is up against a group of money-making investors and a small town looking to move them out as they expand. Big Foster (David Morse), leader of the Farrells, refuses to let that happen.

Lil Foster (Hurst) is a massive mountain man and the son of Big Foster. Asa (Joe Anderson) is a member of the Farrell clan looking to rejoin the family after a stint on the outside.

The ensemble cast includes Thomas M. Wright, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift and Phyllis Somerville. Creator-writer Peter Mattei also serves as executive producer alongside Peter Tolan, Paul Giamatti, Dan Carey and Michael Wimer.

According to TV Line, in the new promo, entitled "Chant" for WGN's original series, Big Foster can be seen yelling out his family's rallying cry. The cry known as "Ged Ged Yah" loosely translates to "Hell yeah!"

As Zap2it delves more into the plot and themes, the WGN drama follows the Farrell Clan as they defend themselves against a group of investors. As the Farrell Clan are being forced to move out of the Appalachian Mountains, the investors plan on upgrading the untouched area. This close-knit family of anti-heroes has to protect themselves in order to preserve their way of life.

Outsiders premieres Tuesday, January 26, at 9pm on WGN America.
