Fox continues with the musical Season 2 soap opera of Empire. In the upcoming Episode 11, will Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) suffer the consequences for his night of passion with Skye Summers (guest star Alicia Keys)?

In our recent recap, Lucius Lyon (Terrence Howard) put Gatz on stage and let her humiliate his son with her lyrics. After calling her out, Hakeem had doubts whether or not he could beat Freda in a rap battle. Giving his brother advice, Jamal Lyon told Hakeem to be the performer and win the crowd over. As soon as the crowd started chanting, Hakeem dropped the mic and got back at his father, dropping his last name, Lyon.

In our recent recap, Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) revealed she has been secretly recording Lucius's conversations and played them for the boardroom. With the help of Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), Camilla Marks-Whiteman (Naomi Campbell) came back for sweet revenge, taking Lyon Dynasty away from Lucius. As the family got together one last time, a mysterious figure, who may or may not be Anika, pushed the pregnant Rhonda down a flight a stairs.

In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Ilene Chaiken reveals if there will be consequences for Jamal, "Without wanting to give away a whole lot of story, Jamal has definitively said 'I'm gay.' And I believe Jamal can say that, even if he might have had sex with a woman once or twice."

Chaiken continues. "Who Jamal has sex with is nobody else's business. We all know that, yet that's the fight we fight as gay people. But then there's Lucious Lyon - and Lucious will stoop low to get what he wants."

Could Jamal lose his Pepsi endorsement after Lucious revealed to Jameson (William Fichtner) about his son's hookup with the R&B diva? We will have to wait and see.

Season 2 of Empire continues Wednesdays at 9pm on Fox in March.
