Arrow Season 4 might be on hiatus at the moment, but the hype is building for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, especially now that we know that Matt Nable will return as Ra's al Ghul on the spinoff!

ComicBook.com reported exclusively that the Australian actor would reprise his role in Episode 9 of the spinoff series. As any fan of Arrow knows, Ra's al Ghul was the main villain of Season 3, but he met his end at the tip of Oliver's sword.

Now that the Lazarus Pit has been destroyed on Arrow, it would be highly unlikely (and rather cheap) if Ra's somehow survived his death. The more likely explanation is that the Legends of Tomorrow team will take a trip to the past and meet Ra's at a point when he was alive.

Neal McDonough had previously confirmed to ComicBook.com that his character, Damien Darhk, would also appear on Legends of Tomorrow. Darhk is the big bad in Season 4 of Arrow and has proven difficult to take down thus far.

Ra's told Oliver in a late Season 3 episode that Darhk was his friend in the League of Assassins. When it was time for Ra's to ascend to the leadership of the league, he had to duel and kill Damien, who fancied himself the true heir. But Ra's hesitated, which allowed Darhk to steal from the Lazarus Pit and escape. Now, he controls a H.I.V.E. of agents who do his bidding, and Ra's was never able to stop him.

It would be fascinating if Legends of Tomorrow explored the relationship between Ra's and Damien when both were in the League of Assassins. We could see the moment when Ra's failed to kill Darhk, which would help flesh out Damien as a character and give us some explanation as to his motivations on Arrow.
