In a recent press event, Padukone clarified that she has not yet signed any film in neither in Hollywood nor in Bollywood. When asked about her future projects, the actress was quoted by Indian Express as responding:

"Just to set the record straight, I have signed no new films as of 2016. I have not signed any film here either."

At the press event, when it was asked about her picture with Diesel, the Tamasha actress remained tightlipped and said that the uploaded picture was a photoshopped one. But at the same time, the actress hinted that she is open to work in a Hollywood project if something creative comes up.

"I am creatively open to idea of working in Hollywood. I would like to explore working in a different set up," Padukone added.

Padukone, who won the Stardust Award for Best Actor of 2015 (Female) for her portrayal of Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in Piku, did three films in 2015 and was able to impress both her fans and the critics by her performances. It was reported by BlogToBollywood that after Bajirao Mastani, Padukone will star in a Yash Raj Film but nothing has yet materialized so far.
