The seventh instalment in the epic Star Wars series released last week and fans from around the world are still in its hangover. Due to the release of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, the release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in India was pushed to Dec. 23, 2015. Many Indian celebrities attended the grand premiere in Mumbai and one famous director showed his desire to make a film like Star Wars in Bollywood.

At the premiere of Star Wars in Mumbai, celebrities like Rajkumar Hirani and Kiran Rao were seen with their friends and family members. Ashutosh Gowariker was also present during the film premiere. When a reporter asked Gowariker's views on Star Wars, the Lagaan director was quoted by DNA India as responding:

"I would love to (try out something like this). I love science fiction space, I like this as a genre. I might do something like this in future."

Well, it looks like Gowariker is really into Star Wars and if given an opportunity, and the right amount of budget, then there are chances that even Bollywood will be having a film series soon like Star Wars.

R. Madhavan, who will soon be seen in Hirani's Saala Khadoos, said to the reporters that the generation from which he belongs to, was mainly about Star Wars and after that they brought films like Star Trek. Talking about the technology used in the film, the star was quoted by Times of India as:

"For our generation deep space, space exploration was about Star Wars. Later on that they got Star Trek and rest of the things. The technology they have used in their films is amazing."

Meanwhile, Gowariker is currently busy shooting Mohenjo Daro with Hrithik Roshan. According to Bollyspice, the film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, Sindh Pakistan in the era of the Indus Valley Civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC. The period drama film is slated for release on Aug. 12, 2016.
