The ladies from Keeping up with the Kardashians certainly keep busy online, with Kim Kardashian and Kylie and Kendall Jenner launching their own apps as well as numerous items on their brand – but is it true that Kanye West's wife "broke" the App Store with her new Kimoji?

The most famous Kardashian took to social media last week to apologize for "breaking" the App Store, saying that the multiple downloads to her new app had caused the platform to collapse, but according to an insider Vanity Fair spoke to, that assessment isn't entirely correct.

The day after Kimoji downloads supposedly collapsed the App Store, the source told the publication that there had been no outages of the platform causing the app to malfunction, which is to say that Apple wasn't at all to blame for the glitches that first appeared on the app. Tech Insider reveals that Apple released a statement declaring that there had been "no issues with the App Store" when the latest Kardashian app was launched.

At the time of its release, fans weren't only having trouble downloading Kimoji but also inserting them into text messages and Facebook, so basically defeating the entire purpose unless they paid $1.99 just to stare into the 250 emojis without being able to use them.

Still, the mother of North and Saint West went on a Twitter rant to apologize to Apple for breaking their service, which may have been a type of smoke curtain while the last few deets of the app were fixed. Still, Kimoji has in fact been a success and it's currently among the top paid apps in the Apple service.

Of course, Kardashian is no stranger to "breaking the Internet," as last year she was featured on a Paper magazine cover that went viral because she showed her famous derriere (which is incidentally an emoji now, by the way) to the world for the first time ever.
