Once again, Netflix's research saves the day: the streaming site turned production company found that parents would love to put kids to bed long before the clock strikes midnight on the new year, so they're launching New Year's Eve specials to set up as early as parents want!

Parents with a Netflix subscription, rejoice. The streaming site, which has a broad variety of shows and movies for children, has recently announced through a press release that they've found a way to have both a kid-friendly New Year's Eve and a grownups-only one: they designed a series of countdowns parents can play ahead of midnight.

The company's recent research has shown that 58 percent of parents around the world would rather tuck their children to bed early on December 31st and then celebrate further, so Netflix has created a wide variety of 2016 countdowns designed for "preschoolers, tweens and everyone in between," hosted by different characters like Oona and Baba from Puffin Rock, the Care Bears & Cousins, King Julien, the cast of Project Mc2, Mr. Peabody and Sherman and Inspector Gadget.

Netflix's research system is legendary, as it's known that they've used the data of users' preferences to create new content, which amounts to the success of original shows like House of Cards and prison dramedy, Orange is the New Black.

Market Watch reports that this isn't the first time Netflix offers a New Year's Eve countdown for children, as last year the streaming site had one kid-friendly show hosted by Madagascar character King Julien, who's now on his second year hosting the turn of the year.

The on-demand countdowns are already available and parents can make any time of the night midnight with them, as the company claims they can "choose when it's time to say goodnight and the kids choose how to celebrate with their favorite characters."

In all, this might be the smartest ever way to keep sleepy kids from crying at midnight when it's hours past their bedtime.
