5 Reasons To Watch Christian Slater, Rami Malek's 'Mr. Robot' NYE Marathon On USA Network!

Before Mr. Robot Season 2 returns, the popular USA Network is bringing the first season onto DVD and Blu-Ray. This is the perfect opportunity to check out Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) and Rami Malek (Elliot Alderson) during the first season's New Year's Eve Marathon.

During the first season recap, Elliot (Malek) finds himself in hacker territory against Evil Corp with "fsociety." With a mysterious man linked to his past, Elliot finds himself siding with Mr. Robot (Christian Slater). As Evil Corp sinks its seductive claws on Elliot's best friend, Angela (Portia Doubleday), Fsociety has a way of hurting E Corp but in order to put their plans into motion, Elliot has to become more than just a cyber-vigilante.

5) The Pilot

There is no one better to direct a show about hackers than the director of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the original Swedish film based on Stieg Larsson's bestselling novel! Niels Arden Oplev's cinematic camerawork captures the gritty atmosphere of its New York setting. Notice how everything comes full circle as Elliot arrives in Times Square here and in the season finale, as Mr. Robot gives his soliloquy in the same location.

4) What's In The Trunk?

Quite possibly then most suspenseful episode, eps1.5_br4ve-trave1er.asf, the race was on as Elliot risked everything to save his girlfriend, Shayla (Frankie Shaw), from her psycho gangster boyfriend. The only way to free her is for Elliot to break her ex-boyfriend out from prison in less than 24 hours. With the clock ticking, Elliot learns the lengths he will go through to save his true love

3) The Worst Kiss Ever!

In eps1.7_wh1ter0se.m4v, Elliot ended up kissing Darlene (Carly Chaikin) on the lips. Revolted by the kiss, Darlene then asks him if he remembers who she really is.This episode gets the ball rolling as the USA drama answers the most-talked about question all freshmen season, "Who is Mr. Robot?"

2) Best Music Montage Ever!

In eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt, Elliot discovers he needs to team-up with antagonist Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström) to take down Evil Corp. But is it possible for these two enemies to put aside their differences and work together. How Elliot's deal different than what Mr. Robot is offering Tyrell. The music in the background is a piano version of the Pixies' Where is my mind?

1) That End Scene!

Written and directed by creator/showrunner Sam Esmail, the first season finale runs a little longer than usual. In the post-credits scene, while someone was knocking on Elliot's door, we discover the White Rose (BD Wong) has been playing both sides as he was seen at a gathering for Evil Corp.What does this mean for everybody in Season 2?
