Craig Strickland Missing After Oklahoma Hunting Trip: Wife Helen Asks For Prayers

Craig Strickland is still missing after a Oklahoma hunting trip, and his wife Helen is asking fans for their prayers. MStars News has learned that the country singer went missing over the weekend after he and his friend Chase Morland went duck hunting in the middle of a winter storm named Goliath.

According to People, Strickland's family and friends became worried after they didn't hear from the singer and his pal. When a search party went out to find the two men, they discovered Morland's deceased body, but Strickland is still missing as of Tuesday, Dec. 29.

Strickland's wife, who was Miss Arkansas USA in 2014, has been sharing updates on her social media accounts where she notified followers and concerned fans that her husband's dog Sam was found. She also revealed that their dog was fine and survived.

Mrs. Strickland also said that her husband's boat had overturned in water. "His boat has been confirmed as being capsized. They are still searching for Craig. Please keep praying."

Strickland revealed that searchers took a break for the night and started back up on Tuesday morning.

"Craig is still missing. The search has been called for the night. It will resume again in the morning with a sonar boat. Still need prayers."

Tragically, Morland tweeted: "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma," before he was found dead.

Entertainment Tonight spoke with Strickland's father, Randy Strickland, who said, "[Craig is] still missing. We are trying to think of a scenario where he is still alive. Hoping against the odds. We can't even stand to think about it. We are devastated. Only God & time can put us back together."

The 29-year-old is one of the lead vocalists for country rock band Backroad Anthem. The group also updated fans on Strickland's disappearance via Facebook.
