Next summer will be filled with potential blockbusters fighting each other in the box office, and one particular reboot, Paul Feig's new all-female cast version of Ghostbusters, headlined by Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, is one of the most highly anticipated ones. In fact, EW just released more info about the villains and what to expect from the upcoming film!

While fans of the saga still await teasers and trailers for the reboot to the Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd's classic, Entertainment Weekly has just released some new information about whom the ladies will be dealing with – and it's a myriad of hardcore dead criminals!

The four funny ladies from the upcoming reboot (also including Saturday Night Live cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones) will be facing what sounds like some sort of uprising from the dead, as criminals from all eras of New York City will be coming back to literally haunt Manhattan, with everyone from pilgrims to naughty sailors and even spirits from the Revolutionary War doing mischief from beyond the grave.

There has been a lot of talk about the decision to have an all-female cast in the film, with some applauding the idea while others say it stands against the already established legacy, even though original star Aykroyd has been heavily involved in the project, and even Murray and Sigourney Weaver will be making an appearance.

Despite whatever controversy may be stirring, the four stars are taking it all in good humor.

"If this doesn't work, we go back and lose our [right to] vote," McCarthy shared on the recent feature, via The Verge. "I'm talking pre-suffragette."

Of course, the film will also feature a few male stars – notoriously the two original cast members – including Andy Garcia and Chris Hemsworth, who will be playing the hunky and seemingly objectified secretary in a twist on gender stereotypes.
