Taylor Swift Teases 'Out of the Woods' Video on With Pic on Instagram

The past 12 months was the Year of Taylor Swift --  singer slayed not only the charts and swept the competition at pretty much every award show. And it doesn't look like she'll be slowing down much in 2016:  Swift has just offered a sneak peek at  some images from her new video for "Out of the Woods," the next single from her hugely successful CD 1989.

The star, who's gearing up to perform the single tonight on Ryan Seacrest's New Years Rockin' Eve, gave fans a taste of theme and tone of the video in the snapshot, according to Us Weekly,

Swift took to her Instagram page to post the gritty picture that shows her face covered in mud, with the caption, "Are we out of the woods yet?"

According to ET, in a recent interview pop princess revealed some details about the song, which was inspired by her ex Harry Styles. She said the song was about her constantly feeling of anxiety during their relationship.

"The No. 1 feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety," the "Shake it Off," singer said. "Because it felt very fragile, it felt very tentative. And it always felt like, 'OK, what's the next road block? What's the next thing that's gonna deter this?

"I think a lot of relationships can be very solid and that's kind of what you hope for, for it to be solid and healthy, but that's not always what you get, " Swift said of the relationship, which began in October 2012 and continued until January 2013. "It doesn't mean that it's not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that's fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility."

Catch Swift take to the stage Dec. 31 during Ryan Seacrest's New Year's Rockin' Eve, which will air at 8 P.M. on ABC.
