Mike Trout is perhaps Major League Baseball's most talented player. He's fast, strong and possesses better hand-eye coordination than just about anybody. It's not a fluke, either. The young Los Angeles Angels center fielder works really hard––as is apparent by his offseason exploits, which, among other things, consists of pushing around a 650 pound tractor tire filled with heavy weights.

On New Year's Eve, a day typically reserved for good old fashioned tomfoolery, Trout posted a video on his Instagram of his evening activities. It involved a really big tire and what appears to be really heavy weights.

Trout captioned the post, "@pdrtrainer is a mad scientiest." Which seems to be fitting.

In 2015, Trout enjoyed another Trout-like year (it was really good) – arguably his best to date, even though he missed out on retaining his MLB MVP award. He hit just under .300 (.299), hammered out 41 long balls, and knocked in 90 RBI's. He also led the league in a number of baseball's complicated statistical categories, including WAR, slugging percentage, OPS and OPS+, according to CBS Sports.

And that's just the offense. His defense is exceptional, often making the not so routine look, well, routine. He reads the flight of the ball to perfection, possesses a great leaping ability, and can generally throw the ball farther and harder than most human beings. Put all that together and it looks like this:

With ability and succes like that, you wouldn't knock a guy if he became complacent. However, it's apparent the 24-year-old All Star is not familiar with such an adjective. He prefers to associate himself with descriptive words and phrases such as: hard working, gym rat, relentless competitor, and baseball freak of nature (probably used by some). It's these characteristic traits, paired with his freakish talent, that make Trout the player that he is.

Watch out 2016, there's no telling what he'll do next.
