There are still nearly four months to go until the late-March 2016 release of Zack Snyder's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, one of two major DC Comics movie adaptations of 2016, and things are beginning to heat up merchandise-wise, with new toys and action figures revealing more about the film. Plus, a new extended synopsis has been released that tells us more about the showdown.

According to Blastr, a new action figure released to mark the film's release may have spoiled a little more than fans expected: one of the toys is a "Mega-Armored Lex Luthor," where the evil mad genius (played by Jesse Eisenberg, who's turned into the go-to guy to play young billionaires) wears a mech suit, definitely bigger than Batman's, with a tilt of green that could in fact mean it has elements of kryptonite, an element that Clark Kent's alter ego is certainly not too fond of.

Of course, this toy might just have been released because it's cool to play with a massive villain, but it could also be something like the Hulkbuster suit Iron Man wore in last year's Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Comic Book Movie reports that this isn't the only update of the highly anticipated film, as a cinema chain in the UK, VUE, has just launched an extended synopsis of Dawn of Justice.

"[Bruce Wayne] fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman's wrongs," reads the new synopsis. "The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction."

The film will mark DC's attempt at doing what Marvel has already done: creating a growing universe in film form. The film's cast includes Henry Cavill reprising his Man of Steel role as the famous Kryptonian, Ben Affleck making his debut as Batman and other favorite Justice League characters like Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman.
