Must Watch: Brandy Norwood has Funny New Show on BET, 'Zoe Ever After' Premieres January 5

Singer/Actress extraordinaire Brandy Norwood is back on screen in a hilarious new romantic comedy, Zoe Ever After. The funny new show stars the Grammy-winning singer as Zoe Moon, who ventures into a new chapter of her life after divorcing her husband. Catch the new BET original series which premieres Tuesday Jan 05 at 10pm EST.

Fans have missed Brandy in the television comedy realm since her role as Moesha on UPN and Chardonnay on The Game on BET. Luckily, Brandy is back in the comedy space with her new character Zoe Moon in Zoe Ever After. This show focuses on the newly single mom who decides to step out and "get her groove" back in the dating space and in her career.

Brandy stars in Zoe Ever After alongside Dorian Missick who plays her famous boxing champion ex-husband, Gemini Moon. The two have an adorable 8-year-old son, Xavier played by Jaylon Gordon. Part of Zoe's mission in the new chapter of her life is to launch her longtime dream of starting her own cosmetics line. She works her way to the top alongside her witty assistant, Valente' (Tory Devon Smith), bestie Pearl (Haneefah Wood) and sizzling hot contractor Miguel (Ignacio Serricchio).

Brandy, who co-executive produces the show, had a recent interview with Ebony magazine and compared her previous characters, Moesha and Chardonnay to Zoe.

"I think Zoe is like Moesha all grown up. Moesha was very driven and all about her career and making her dreams come true. I think it took Zoe a long time to find out what that was, and with Chardonnay, she knew she wanted to do her thing. With Zoe, it took her 20 years to come out of the shadow of her ex-husband, and she just developed a lot later. But she's doing it now and that's all that matters."
