Nina Dobrev started the year in a spontaneous and extreme way by jumping off a plane! The former The Vampire Diaries star made quite an entrance into the new year by diving head first into 2016. While everyone else blew horns and watched some amazing fireworks, Dobrev opted for a more non-tradional way to begin her year.

The 26-year-old actress posted on her Instagram a video of her stepping out of her comfort zone and marking the start of 2016 by skydiving in Hawaii.

Although it is not clear if Dobrev has been skydiving before, or if this was her first time, but it seems like she was pretty excited and nervous at the same time.

At the point where she actually jumps out of the plane, the video shows how her smile briefly turns to a flash of terror on her face.

But soon later, she will be seen blowing some kisses and even formed her hands into a heart and posted a still-shot on her Instagram account, captioning it: "Sending love and positivity from the top of the world!"
