‘Bajirao Mastani’s’ Deepika Padukone in New 'XXX' Sequel with Vin Diesel?

After a lot of denying from Deepika Padukone's end, it is now finally confirmed that the Bajirao Mastani actress will star in an XXX sequel with Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel, making it her first Hollywood film.

Padukone, who amazed her fans with an award-winning performance in Piku, and the recently released Bajirao Mastani, is all set to make her Hollywood debut with XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. The film is going into production in Jan. 2016 but the Indian actress will join the team in February.

Ever since Padukone uploaded a picture of herself with Diesel, fans on social media started to speculate about her Hollywood debut. With that, the actress chose to stay mum. At a press event, Padukone clarified that she has not yet signed onto any film in neither Hollywood nor Bollywood. When asked about her future projects, the actress was quoted by Indian Express saying:

"Just to set the record straight, I have signed no new films as of 2016. I have not signed any film here either."

At the press event, when asked about her picture with Diesel, the Piku actress remained tight-lipped and said that the uploaded picture was a photoshopped one. But at the same time, the actress hinted that she is open to work on a Hollywood project if something creative comes up.

"I am creatively open to idea of working in Hollywood. I would like to explore working in a different set up," Padukone added.

According to Coming Soon, XXX: The Return of Xander Cage cast now has three international actors on board – Jet Li, Tony Jaa and Padukone. Even the film's director, D.J. Curaso, has confirmed the news when a fan asked him about Padukone's involvement in the project.

According to a report from DNA India, the details of Padukone's role in the action thriller is still under wraps but given her earlier records of portraying different roles in different films, Padukone is surely going to impress her fans from all around the globe.
